Story

Built for riders who know what they want.

Briarcliff Bike Works is a specialty shop built around premium mountain bikes, dialed component choices, and straightforward advice. We help riders choose the right bike, the right build, and the right setup for how they actually ride.

When you are investing in a serious bike, the details matter. Fit, suspension, wheels, cockpit setup, and build quality all change the ride, and we take the time to get those details right.

Brand direction

Each brand has its own character, but all of them share the same things that matter to us: smart design, refined ride quality, and real attention to detail.

IBIS

Ibis Cycles began in 1981 with Scot Nicol’s hand-built frames in Mendocino, California. Today, the brand stands out for playful, efficient mountain bikes, solar powered carbon frame manufacturing, and acclaimed dw-link designs.

SANTA CRUZ

Santa Cruz Bicycles started in 1994 with the full-suspension Tazmon, challenging mountain-bike convention from a small California garage. Today, they stand out for premium carbon construction, VPP suspension, lifetime support, and category-leading trail, downhill, and e-bikes.

OPEN

OPEN Cycles was founded in 2012 by Cervélo co-founder Gerard Vroomen and former BMC CEO Andy Kessler. The boutique brand stands out for minimalist engineering, category-shaping gravel bikes, lightweight carbon frames, and versatile road-to-dirt designs.

REVEL

Revel Bikes launched in 2019 in Carbondale, Colorado, founded by Adam Miller after Borealis and Why Cycles. The brand stands out for carbon full-suspension mountain bikes, CBF suspension, refined ride feel, and rider-focused engineering.

ALLIED

Allied Cycle Works launched in 2017 with a mission to build world-class carbon bikes in America. Based in Arkansas, the brand stands out for premium road, gravel, and mountain bikes, custom finishes, sharp engineering, and race-proven performance.

Journal

News, notes, and shop insight.

The journal is where we share shop news, new arrivals, service advice, and the kind of practical insight that helps riders make better decisions.

Why riders step up to a premium carbon trail bike.

A better bike is not just lighter or more expensive. Geometry, suspension design, frame feel, and build choices all shape the ride, and we think riders should understand what they are paying for.

Fit, setup, and the details that change a ride.

This is a good place for guidance on fit, cockpit setup, suspension tuning, and routine service, using the shop’s own point of view to show that buying the right bike is only the start of the ownership experience.

Preparing for trail season in Westchester County.

As the seasons change, we will share local riding notes, smart setup changes, and small adjustments that make a real difference out on the trail.
